I will try and pass on a few of the techniques Alfred Bach taught me as they are worth knowing.

One of the simple things we did for the students was mitred picture frames.

We used old truck tubes as clamps.

Prepare the timber.

 

 

If strength is a worry on larger frames run a saw cut into the corners and get the students to glue a small piece of triangular plywood into the saw cut. On some edges small pieces of different coloured timber can be inserted for a design affect.
