Section outline

  • Dynamic Slides.

Static images. Movement attracts. Hover image for eg.

They eyes have a tendency to follow any movement.

If something moves on a slide it will be the focus of attention.

For movement to maintain a feeling of action and focus it needs to move a little every 3 seconds or less.

Waiting longer than 3 seconds tends to allow the persons eyes to wander and a successful speaker needs to provide the action and focus.

If there is movement every 3 seconds or less the focus is shared between the speaker and the presentation slides.

If the movement is too often and too much the audiences attention quickly goes to boredom.
Image is to show movement on a dynamic slide

A small movement can keep the audiences eyes on the image as long as it is only a little movement.
